Today was man cave day, replacing wheels on the bike. Looking forward to converting them to tubules soon.

Went climbing on Saturday at Wainstones North York Moors. Coaching the wife that hasn’t climb for well over a year, soon got back in the swing of things. Even managed to remove lead gear.

Good afternoon,

So im back from the west highland way as i had a broken hub on my bike!! sad face. However i still managed 49.6 miles of the route and up to that point it was hard going. The beginning was very nice easy terrain and the sun was out, yes the sun was out in Scotland!

Brand new, and shiny website created.

15/11/20 quick leg stretch in the driving rain!!!

15/11/20 nice ride out on the bike this afternoon to keep the legs going.

16/11/20 Just been out for a nice run nothing to epic just to keep moving in lockdown. Stay Safe, Keep active.

17/11/20 Today Ive been exploring close to home out on the Yorkshire dales. The weather was challenging, at times the rain and mist made it hard to navigate but with good compass work and pacing i found my objectives. There is so much to see off the beaten track.

Old Mine Tunnels
Devils Matchsticks
Disused Flue from the old Smelting days
Old Smelting Mill
Getting used to a new type of map

27/11/20 Well its been a fresh day out and about today in the Yorkshire Dales.

28/11/20 Slow start today however, got out on the mountain bike for a quick spin around the local bridleways, cycle paths and a small amount of road. Explore local!!!!

Dirty trails and muddy tyres!!

02/11/20 Fresh afternoon practicing some rope work. If you are working towards an award practice is key. sometimes you may not always find the perfect place to practice, but there is always somewhere. Go explore!!!

Out doing some rope work
04/11/20 When the snow arrives, its time to iron out some winter navigation. whether you are in the highlands of Scotland, Wales or anywhere you might be when the weather changes, its worth just dusting off all the tools and strategies to get you from A to B.

04/11/20 Fresh run tis morning to keep ticking over. Keep moving its goo for you, walk, run and bike what ever you do, do it at your pace!!!

06/11/20 Very wet day in the Dales this morning. If you head out remember what you can do to make life more comfortable. Make sure you have waterproofs, spare gloves, warm hat, flask personal choice, water these are just a small amount of items you can take. If you wear glasses then maybe think about wearing a cap with a long peak or even try contact lenses, Im trialing contact lenses at the moment.

Looking forward to running some Courses in the new year!!!!!

28/12/20 Lake District winter walk

Lockdown!!!!!!! well what have i been up to? Got some skis, cheap it can be done, if you just want to ski tour and nothing to radical!!! once i got my kit i watched youtube and asked friends how to get set up and in no time at all i was out in my local town on my skis turning heads lol. I lockdown its just finding something that keeps you active and your mind focused on something other than the news. I have also signed up to walk a virtual 1000 mile walk. also i am preparing for my up and coming National navigation Award Scheme course. I have done online tree identification online.
